It seems to have become a "thing" now, where I make my mum a new pair of slippers for her birthday each year. She is wheelchair bound, and struggles with swelling and difficulty moving her feet, so these slippers, with the additional vibram soles make the perfect footwear for any house-leaving "adventures" she does! I bought a pair of these at a show about a year ago, hoping they'd help keep my feet warm and stop my felted slippers wearing out so quickly... And they did the trick perfectly. I've now ordered some more, ready to put in my new pair of slippers, and look forward to cosy feet for another year. I haven't tried these in Wellies, but I'd still thoroughly recommend these for enhancing the warmth and comfort of any footwear.
I make my own wet-felted slippers and have been stitching Joe's Toes Vibram soles onto them for several years now. When the slippers wear out, I take off the soles... A pair of soles will generally last for as long as two pairs of slippers. It's great to be able to go out into the garden in my slippers - because these soles are hard wearing and waterproof. I'd thoroughly recommend them to use on any fibre/fabric slippers.
