Joe's Toes Thick Felt - A4, A3, Fat Quarters and by the Metre

This is the thick woollen felt we use in all our projects. It makes a fantastic base for needle felting. It's great for bags, boxes and many other projects as it keeps its shape well. It's made for us in Europe. 

We sell A4 and A3 sheets, fat quarters and by the linear metre. A4 is standard European paper size which measures 8.3" x 11.7" (210 x 297mm). A3 is twice the size. Our fat quarters measure at least 43cm X 55cm.

A linear metre is approximately 1.5m (59") wide so ordering one metre will give the equivalent of six fat quarters. Multiple amounts will be sent as a single piece. Unfortunately due to it's bulky nature we cannot ship full yards or metres to the USA. 

Our wool felt contains a minimum 90% wool. It can be washed as wool at under 30 degrees, and reshaped while damp. A hotter wash is likely to cause further felting. 

If you would like to see samples of felt before buying a big piece you could order a set of sample shapes.

We have also added our new vegan-friendly felt, available only in opal grey. This wool-free eco-friendly felt is made in Europe from recycled drinks bottles. 

Shipping info

Our slippers, kits and bits are made to order, but we try to keep at least one pair of everything cut and ready to go. We aim to ship all orders within a week. If it's urgent do let us know and we'll try our best to help. 

UK standard postage and packing is just £3.95, and FREE for orders over £60. Additionally we offer First Class and Tracked options.

EU standard postage and packing (usually Royal Mail Priority Air which is untracked) is £4.95 for orders under £15, £5.95 for order up to £500.

EU customers can enjoy ordering with all taxes and duties paid at checkout. 1. 2. 3. 4. All-Inclusive Pricing: For orders under 150€ (excluding shipping and taxes), all VAT and customs duties are included at checkout. No extra charges on delivery. Faster Delivery: Orders under 150€ benefit from quicker customs clearance, leading to faster delivery times. Shipping Fees: Shipping fees are calculated separately and not included in the 150€ limit. Check shipping rates at checkout. Customs Charges: If for any reason local customs charge any fees upon delivery, please contact our customer support at help@joestoes.co.uk. USA standard postage and packing (usually Royal Mail Priority Air which is untracked) is $7.95 for all orders. We also offer Express and Tracked services. Customers are responsible for any import costs, taxes, duties, and clearing fees. These will vary depending on where you live. In practice our customers in the USA have not been required to pay any additional costs, although we can't guarantee this. Canadian shipping starts at $12.95 Canadian dollars. Worldwide from £7.95 (or local currency equivalent).

For unmade kits and bits we're happy to offer a refund within 90 days of purchase.
To be eligible for a refund your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. To complete your return, we require need your order number or some proof of purchase, we may be able to help with this. 
Please send your item to 9 Field Lane, Brighouse, HD6 3NX. Please obtain a proof of posting (free from the post office).
What if I start making the kit and it goes horribly wrong? 
This is most unlikely but if you do get stuck give us a call and we'll sort something out.
Custom made goods, such as made up kits may be returned only at our discretion (after all with over 4.000 possible combinations we may not find another customer for your goods). Refunds 
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If it is approved your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or Paypal account as soon as we can and in any case within 30 days.
Exchanges
We can replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need an exchange, send us an email at amanda@joestoes.co.uk and send your item to: 9 Field Lane Brighouse GB HD6 3NX. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary but we will do it as quickly as possible.
Shipping &Refund of shipping costs
To return your product, you should mail your product to: 9 Field Lane Brighouse GB HD6 3NX
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Please obtain proof of postage. If the goods are faulty or we have made an error we will refund your postage.
If you are shipping an item over £50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable).
Please contact Paypal your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Lovely felt sheets

Lovely felt sheets. The felt is thick and sturdy so that the sheets hold their shape, it is soft to the touch and easy to cut. Lovely colours and quick delivery too, thank you.

Felt sheets.....a great idea

I have previously bought some soles and the wellies boot insoles and have been so pleased with these I was really happy to see that you can buy the fe!t in sheets so that I could experiment a bit with changing the design of the slipper tops etc. The lovely thick felt is easy to work with in such eye-catching colours it's not hard to get a gorgeous pair of slippers/houseshoes.. ..even for me. I have taken up sewing again recently like a lot of others but can't claim to be that handy with a needle and thread but this is well within my comfort zone and enjoyable with something useful but lovely at the end

Felt sheets

It's great that you can buy the same lovely thick felt as in the slippers kits and so on....having tried the felt soles and welly boot soles I can get creative with some footwear myself....it's easy to work with and comes in gorgeous colours too. Once I got going I found it didn't take long to get great results - I enjoy sewing

It isn't only the gorgeous wool felt and the amazing designs and kits that Amanda has put together. (Although the felt is fabulous -- soft, warm, sturdy, easy to work with and great colours.)

Felt Sheet

I was looking for a website that sold felt, that I could use to line the bottom of my work boots.
I found one site that sold felt shoe liners that came in various sizes, I find the only problem with any pre-cut shoes liner, they never are quite the right shape, so they never fill the space completely.
Then I found Joe’s toes. where you could buy various sizes of felt sheet. So that meant I could cut my own to the exacted shape of my boots. I found the website easy to navigate straight forward in place my order, and then pay for it.
I received my order a copy of days later, the felt sheet I received is nice dense, so should help to keep my feet warmer.
In the order I also received a thank you note which is of the print type, that lots of companies put inside with your order now a day’s. But Joe’s toes have added a person touch, as Amanda had took the time to write my name, and then sign it. Not the normal robotic action, of lots of companies where its just another piece of paper to add to the parcel.
